We are currently seeking an Environmental Co-op for Fall Semester 2021 . This position is located in Columbus, OH .
JOB SUMMARY
Our Environment Division within the Environment and Agriculture Business Line conducts research, characterization, and remediation of environmental contamination, and designs and implements environmentally sustainable remedial technologies.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Extract information from existing databases or literature and prepare information for environmental and engineering analysis.
- Draft environmental sampling plans and work plans related to laboratory and field projects.
- Follow established procedures to conduct laboratory and field activities and generate defensible technical data.
- Assist in the compilation and interpretation of data.
- Support research for the evaluation of new technologies.
- Provide input to technical reports and proposals.
- Participate in technical briefings to internal project teams and clients.
THE FOLLOWING IS REQUIRED
- Must be currently pursuing a bachelor's, master's, or PhD in an environmental-related field with at least 18 months of undergraduate coursework completed.
- GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Related work experience (paid or unpaid) in the environmental engineering/geology discipline.
- Experience working in a laboratory and/or field environment, including preparing, conducting, and documenting tests.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and eagerness to take on technical challenges.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
- Must be available to work 40 hours during business office hours.
- Must be a US Person.
