Waters Corporation is currently seeking a Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Data Analyst to support corporate HSE and Sustainability efforts. The HSE Data Analyst will be responsible for managing a global HSE software system, reviewing and validating environmental data, and ensuring a high level of data quality for internal and external reporting.

  • Manage global HSE Management Software and associated HR/IT interfaces
  • Review and validate quarterly environmental data submissions (energy, emissions, water, waste) from global facilities
  • Review and revise (as needed) historical data points and upload supporting documentation into software for validation in support of Sustainability 2025 goals
  • Maintain and update local and regional emission factors as needed
  • Modify and create forms, dashboards, and reports
  • Assist with metric/target development, tracking, and reporting (internal and external)
  • Assist with internal/external sustainability reporting
  • Perform ad-hoc analyses in response to customer or shareholder inquiries, or in support of cross-functional projects
  • Communicate project status information and risks to HSE and Sustainability leadership
  • Assist employees with troubleshooting and general software use


Required Qualifications of the HSE Data Analyst:
  • 1-3 years of experience in an HSE, sustainability, or data administration role
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or related field
  • Basic knowledge of web development platforms, databases, and infrastructure
  • Demonstrated ability to execute work assignments and perform duties with or without direct supervision
  • Demonstrated strong problem solving and analytical skills; strong attention to detail
  • Strong communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Preferred Qualifications of the HSE Data Analyst:
  • Experience using Intelex HSE Management System software or similar
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, SAP, Smartsheet, and Microsoft Power BI
  • Knowledge of database creation and management
  • Familiarity with third-party sustainability reporting standards, frameworks, and scorecards (e.g., DJSI, GRI, SASB, Sustainalytics, EcoVadis, GHG Protocol etc.)
  • Relevant coursework in data analysis, computer science, data extraction, data exploration and data visualization
  • Ability to influence others and to work in a team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and to adapt and learn in a changing work environment
