The Biology Department at Carthage College invites applications for a three-year renewable contract assistant professor position with a focus on Anatomy and Physiology to start August 2018. The successful candidate will teach courses in Anatomy and Physiology for pre-health students as well as other biology courses as needed. Applicants are required to have a Ph.D. in Biology with a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching. Research with undergraduate students is also encouraged and supported.

The Carthage Biology Department is housed in a newly expanded and renovated science center that includes more than $1.5 million in instrument and equipment investments. The College offers small class sizes and the opportunity to work closely with undergraduates in both the classroom and laboratory.
