Perform microbiological testing for human tissue and medical device samples, as well as perform environmental and water monitoring. Monitor cultures for the presence of microbial growth.

  • Perform testing of microbiological samples including bioburden and sterility testing.
  • Centrifuge serological specimens and separate serum/plasma.
  • Perform environmental monitoring.
  • Collect water samples and perform associated testing.
  • Read cultures and perform all tasks associated with Negative Bench.
  • Perform set up of Vitek cards and interpret test results.
  • Perform and report bacterial identifications for environmental isolates.
  • Perform endotoxin testing.
  • Perform housekeeping duties in the cleanrooms and laboratory, including assigned monthly cleaning.
  • Effectively complete "other" functions that may be assigned.
  • Hours - Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday from 7am-5:30pm.


  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or a related scientific field
  • Must be detail-oriented
  • Must have good communication skills (written and oral)
  • Capable of working without direct supervision
  • Must be able to effectively manage and prioritize numerous projects and responsibilities
