Additional Comment from Manager: Looking for ELISA, Cell culture/ Cell line and FACS / Flow cytometry experience. We are seeking motivated and creative individuals to join our Biologics Discovery (Neurology) group at AbbVie Bioresearch Center in Worcester, MA. As part of this group, the successful candidate will contribute to ongoing efforts to help move projects forward. The chosen candidate will perform essential bench molecular and cellular biology experiments to help with assay development and drug screening and characterization. The ideal candidate will have direct experience with cell culture, molecular biology, and assays such as ELISA, FACS, IP, Western Blot, and luciferase reporter assay. The successful candidate will make use of problem solving, critical thinking, and effective written and oral presentation skills in a highly-matrixed team environment. Candidates must have meticulous work habits and excellent record keeping and organizational skills. Key Responsibilities: Design workflow, procedures and experiments in consultation with supervisor. Help to develop and execute cell based assays for antibody screening and characterization. Antibody characterization by ELISA, IP, Co-IP, Western Blot, and FACS. Mammalian cell culture: passage and feed cells in various culture vessels. Maintain accurate and timely records of research and project activity in electronic notebook. Qualifications: BS / MS in biochemistry, molecular and cellular biology, or a related field. Experience in mammalian cell culture, stable cell line production, immunocytochemistry, and FACS. Experience in assays using techniques such as ELISA, IP, West Blotting, and electrophoresis. Ability to perform productively and efficiently within a dynamic work environment. Experience in primary neuronal cell culture is a plus. Assignment is set to run for 12 months but could be extended based on performance and project need so please be sure that Candidates can work for up to 2 years without issues if required.
