Responsibilities

Lead the CT-based Team in alignment with Operational and Service Line goals, strategies, policies and initiatives for industrial/commercial and federal sectors to support environmental remediation projects.
Develop and manage proposal efforts, business strategies, and lead in contract negotiations including but not limited to terms & conditions, scope, schedule, and budget.
Provide leadership and mentorship to staff; ensure ongoing performance feedback, support development and growth, address performance and behavioral issues as necessary.
Responsible for driving accountability in quality standards; utilize tools, training, and challenge team for excellence in quality of work product.
Ensure Project Managers within Service Line are supported, held accountable and successfully maintain PM status as outlined by Internal PM Certification Program standards.
Create a ‘team' and collaborative culture through demonstrating open. communication, developing trust, and recognizing staff and providing ongoing construction feedback.
Maintain high-value relationships with clients in the market; demonstrate excellence in client service/experience.
Oversee resource management (utilization and non-chargeable time) for Team members.
Work effectively with Team Leaders, Project Managers, key technical specialists, and the marketing team as a key leader to deliver quality projects to our clients
Lead select projects within his/her technical area of expertise.
Manage environmental projects, site characterization, remedial design/actions, and preparation of reports and other related documentation.
Network with clients to effectively position for and develop work opportunities.
Perform, analyze and report on specific environmental project tasks; research and recommend solutions to technical problems in accordance with accepted scientific/engineering practices and principles.
Participation and collaboration with other Wood offices and staff on larger, multidisciplinary assignments.

Skills / Qualifications

B.S. or M.S. graduate, with directly related degree in engineering, geology, hydrogeology, or environmental sciences.
Demonstrated line management experience.
Experience across a range of commercial, industrial, and federal sectors.
20+ years relevant experience with increasing levels of project complexity and management responsibility.
20+ effectively develop project work and manage, implement and oversee large-scale environmental remediation projects.
Track record of performance in a seller-doer culture (business development/client management).
Must have an entrepreneurial spirit, leadership skills, and a proven ability to develop and lead strategies in line with the Operations and company goals.
Must have demonsrated client relationships and a proven track record of developing business, growing client accounts, and winning work.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in CT Remediation Standard Regulations and Property Transfer Act regulations.
Registered as a Licensed Environmental Professional
