Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Environmental Project Manager, well count on you to
Work as a member of our environmental sciences and planning section
Provide technical expertise at project level and assist with growing Companys environmental program
Take responsibility for project management and staff management, as well as some marketing, business development and client management
Establish sequencing of environmental tasks/projects, from financial management of project through successful completion, utilizing our technology, standards and project delivery practices
Plan and direct medium- to large-sized environmental tasks/projects for our core business groups, including transportation, water/wastewater, resources, federal facilities, and other programs as identified
Prepare, plan and analyze/review technical studies, NEPA documents and similar reports/documents
Accomplish work independently and through coordinating or supervising small to large technical and professional teams from local and regional offices
Support regional and national projects in specific areas of technical expertise and be closely involved in public participation and multiple agency coordination
Take responsibility for project management, including development and management of project budgets, schedules, and quality of products
Perform other duties as needed

Qualifications
Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or closely related field
8 or more years of experience in environmental planning in a consulting environment with demonstrated project management experience
Self-starter with excellent writing and communication skills
Strong conceptual, organizational, problem-solving and research skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Preferred Qualifications

Experience managing EA/EIS projects
Experience with renewable energy projects preferred
Experience with local agencies such as TVA and TDEC ideal
Experience managing and mentoring environmental scientists/planners
Local candidates are preferred
Qualified Hydrological Professional (QHP) Certification
