In addition to Nutrilite, this team leads the Plant and Agricultural Innovation for the Beauty and Personal Care business. This team's efforts will expand our product portfolios through new botanicals or technologies, delivering product innovation that our Amway Business Owners (ABOs) want to sell, and our global consumers want to buy. This is an exciting new role for someone who has deep functional knowledge of botanical sources, technologies, and plant concentrates that can help us advance new or emerging botanicals to expand an already robust product portfolio!

How you would contribute to the role:

In this exciting new role, you will advance our portfolio of botanicals fueling our product pipelines, and enhancing our strong global reputation of organic, plant based, health and wellness solutions. Your network will advance partnerships in the botanical, industrial, and academic sectors on pharmacognosy, herbal sciences & botany, developing a roadmap aligned with business strategies. This role will involve global travel, leading the identification and evaluation of botanicals as ingredients for desirable, feasible, and viable innovation in nutrition, beauty, and home care products. This is truly a unique global role, identifying plant concentrates and agricultural research options for development on our own farms in Mexico, Brazil, China and other sites in the US. Your expertise in botanical research will help us with commercial growing investments and product applications. What skills and background will be important to be successful:
  • Minimum 8 - 10 years' experience working with botanical gardens, or closely related industry partners
  • Strong industry reputation, recognized as an authority in the field of herbal sciences and/or botany
  • Deep functional knowledge in nutrition product development process
  • Experience with plant concentrates and agriculture research related technologies
  • Ability to travel globally up to 50%, with culturally adaptive skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders inside and outside the organization, gaining support and commitment
  • Industry knowledge of supplements, food or ingredients and the competitive marketplace in this space
  • Strong collaboration skills exhibiting successful partnerships that delivered against strategic goals
  • PhD in Natural Products Chemistry, Biology, Botany, Pharmacognosy, or a closely related field
  • This role is NOT eligible for visa sponsorship
