Job Summary:
The Content Development Coordinator position supports the creation of animal, conservation and environmental content and collaborates with partners to execute promotional and synergy efforts across The Walt Disney Company segments. This self-starting individual will foster, build and maintain relationships with Disney's Animals, Science and Environment (ASE) key partners and should be able to thrive in an ever evolving work environment.
- Develop internal and external written and visual content that shares Disney's animal, conservation and nature stories throughout multiple business segments.
- Plan and develop experiences that influence Cast and Guests to connect with nature.
- Ability to proactively pinpoint errors in documents with proven attention to detail.
- Ability to multi-task in a rapidly changing work environment effectively balancing and prioritizing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, including a proficiency in clear, concise, and compelling oral and written communications.
- Provide information and assistance to ASE leadership through a variety of tasks such as data entry, digitizing files, researching source material and organizing shared tools and resources.
- Conduct research to aid in various projects to ensure scientific accuracy.
- Develop and/or manage internal databases/technology platforms.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum one year of experience in non-formal education, teaching, design/development, marketing, communication or related role.
- Minimum one year of experience or proficient in utilizing computer design programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign.
- Proven ability to develop engaging, accurate and concise visual and written content.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal direction and drive optimal results.
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Outlook and Word.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Disney cross Line of Business experience such as Theme Parks, Retail, Consumer Products, Digital, or Corporate.
- Working knowledge of WordPress web-editing software - including creating new webpages, editing existing pages and adding text, video and image files.
- Working knowledge of Sharepoint.
- Computer proficiency in Apple products and software (i.e. Pages, Keynote, Numbers).
Required Education
- Bachelors' degree or equivalent in primary or secondary science, environmental education/ interpretation/science, psychology, zoology, biology, marketing, communication, public relations or related field.
