K2 Environmental Consulting (K2EC) is looking to hire professionals with expertise in technical and regulatory implementation in the field of climate and clean transportation policy, as well as the electric vehicle sector. Summary of Position:

The candidate will participate in efforts to reduce greenhouse gas and black carbon emissions from the transportation sector, as required by New Jersey's Energy Master Plan, the Global Warming Response Act and the EV Law. Implement a suite of new clean transportation rules to reduce emissions from medium- and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, which will include development of a web portal and database. Design reports and forms and conduct outreach and education for regulated entities for implementation and initial reporting, and on an ongoing basis for annual reporting. Provide ongoing customer service to regulated entities. Process incoming data, monitor credits, and perform data analysis. This work is part of a larger effort underway in the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection's Division of Air Quality to electrify the transportation sector in order to reduce greenhouse gases and mitigate climate change.

Position Requirement:

BA/BS degree. 5+ years of experience in electric vehicle research/analysis, technical knowledge of electric vehicles and electric vehicles charging standards, hardware and software, and knowledge of the latest developments in the clean transportation technology market. Experience in leading projects and programs, including strategy, planning, project management. Ability to conduct in depth research of scientific literature, market studies, and business trends and develop summaries and recommendations.

Ability to analyze data to develop projections, models, and analyze various scenarios. This includes strong knowledge of databases and spreadsheets such as Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, etc. GIS skills are required and experience with Federal mobile source emission models, such as MOVES, GREET, and AFLEET will be a plus.
