Scismic is supporting the growth of a biotech startup in lovely Hayward, CA. We are looking for Scientist, Cell Biology. You will be an essential part of an interdisciplinary founding team of highly creative and talented individuals with outstanding expertise in the Company's core platform technologies. You'll utilize and develop our single particle tracking and serve as the biology need on new drug discovery projects. You'll play a key role in advancing our core technology and pipeline while working closely with a team of biologists, chemists, computer scientists, and microscope engineers.

What you'll do:

-Work with biologists, chemists and engineers you'll advance our single particle tracking platform and move drug discovery projects forward.

- Develop novel and high-throughput assays to interrogate difficult to drug therapeutic targets.

- Collaborate and communicate across a diverse research team to successfully progress scientific goals.

- Keep detailed and organized records of experimental protocols and results.

- Contribute to multiple projects simultaneously and manage diverse team interactions.

Key Qualifications:

- PhD degree in cell biology, molecular biology, or related field with 2+ years of hands on experience in microscopy and cellular assay development, preferably in an industrial setting.

- Hands-on understanding of high-content and advanced microscopy techniques

- Proficiency in standard cell biology and biochemistry techniques.

- Experience with lab automation is preferred.

- Prior experience in a drug-discovery setting is preferred.

- Keen analytical and problem-solving skills.

- The ability to communicate clearly and build open collaborative relationships is essential.
