Dewberry Engineers, Inc. seeks Senior Environmental Scientist in Rancho Cordova, CA.

Duties: Conduct Biological Resource Surveys, Habitat Assessments, Wetland Delineations, report preparation, and permitting. Provide pre and post construction biological surveys and monitoring and conduct stormwater Best Management Practices (BMP) inspections on construction sites. Work with a team of environmental planners, engineers, construction management personnel, and construction crews. Supervise junior staff. Conduct tree surveys, document the findings, and make recommendations in written reports. Provide construction monitoring support during tree removal activities. Author and review Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and Water Pollution Control Program (WPCP) documents, as well as be able to conduct Best Management Practices (BMP) site inspections during all weather conditions.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resource management or a related field, plus 10 years of experience with Geographic Information System (GIS). Additional requirements: 10 years of experience with wildlife and fishery biology. 10 years of experience with construction monitoring. Must be an ISA certified Arborist and a Certified Professional in Storm Water Quality (CPSWQ). Travel to various job sites required twice per month.
