The department of Anatomy & Neurobiology at Boston University School of Medicine seeks qualified candidates for a full-time, core-faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. We are eager to welcome to our faculty an individual who is committed to excellence in teaching and training graduate and medical students in the anatomical sciences and neurosciences. Primary responsibilities of this position include teaching in our anatomical sciences courses and serving as the Director of our PhD and Masters Programs in Anatomy & Neurobiology. The successful candidate will split their time between these two major responsibilities. Teaching responsibilities will include teaching microscopic anatomy (Histology) and potentially gross anatomy and/or neuroscience. The Anatomy & Neurobiology department is a highly collaborative environment in which cutting edge research methods are used to characterize the structure and function of the cerebral cortex in health and disease and across the lifespan. We are also widely recognized for excellence in teaching and training students in neuroscience and the anatomical sciences in the graduate and medical school setting, and developing our graduate students as educators in the biomedical sciences.
