Were growing, and we hope youll join us!About the PositionEnvironmental Scientist | Watertown, MAThe successful candidate will join a team of talented staff already in place working to deliver projects for our energy, transportation and private clients across the Commonwealth.ResponsibilitiesPerforming natural resource surveys including, but not limited to, wetland delineations and functional assessments, vernal pool identification, wildlife habitat evaluations and rare species surveysPreparation of studies and technical reportsDevelopment of federal, state and local permit applicationsEstablishing and tracking project milestones and business goalsMaintaining ongoing dialog with clients to keep them apprised of project status, changes in conditions or other key points of informationSkills and AbilitiesExcellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsTeam oriented with strong capability to motivate othersMust be a highly motivated self-starterMust demonstrate superior ability in collaborative problem solving with stakeholders, clients, and teammatesMust have strong writing skills and computer literacy is requiredDemonstrated experience managing project budgets, schedule and deliverables, and working closely with junior staff.QualificationsBS in Biology, Ecology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or a directly related field; Masters degree preferred3+ years of professional environmental consulting experienceAbility/willingness to work in physically challenging outdoor situations in all types of weather and traveling on a regular basis to project sites located in New EnglandExperience in plant species identification and soil characterization in the northeast is requiredAbility to identify and describe wildlife, habitats, and ecological communities is requiredKnowledge of the state and federal wetland regulations, land use environmental regulations and environmental permitting is requiredPlease submit applications online.New employees will be onboarded virtually and begin their employment from home.
