Seeking a full time medical technologist with a specialty in Microbiology:
This is a full time position, 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm, every other weekend
Job Summary:
Performs medical laboratory tests and procedures, and analyzes in all functional sections or designated specialty area of the lab to provide data for diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease. Reports test results, evaluates quality, troubleshoots systems and equipment. Maintains records of performance, quality control, remedial action plans, quality improvements and procedure manuals. Evaluates new technologies and equipment. Leads the installation process of new equipment from start to finish. Serves on committees related to infection control.
Education:
Bachelor's degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Medical Technology, Biology, Microbiology, including clinical rotation with two to five years related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience working in a microbiology environment required for this role. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Registered or Registry Eligible: MT (ASCP) MLS: MLS (ASCP), AMT with B.S. or B.A. in Biology, or Medical technologist
