Tradebe is hiring a Director of Environmental Compliance to lead, coach and mentor Regional Environmental Compliance Managers to ensure work coordination, planning and the scheduling of environmental requirements are met. Support cost management, and project management.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • You will lead by example, providing leadership, supervision, coaching, mentoring and performance management necessary to maintain a high performance Team.
  • Work with Regional Environmental Managers to develop, implement, and maintain TES/Tradebe facility permits, licenses and environmental plans to ensure adherence to local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
  • Work with Regional Environmental Managers by monitoring, maintaining, and implementing environmental (RCRA, Air, and Water regulations/permits) management programs to ensure company's compliance in accordance with Federal, Regional, State, and local regulatory requirements.
  • Assist Regional Managers in completing all reports required under RCRA, CAA, and CWA permits and/or programs.
  • Work with Regional Environmental Managers on setting and measuring job objectives.
  • Implement and coordinate weekly calls with Regional Managers and their Reports.
  • Schedule visits to the facility to ensure compliance and support personnel.
  • Assist in review and investigation of accident/incident reports associated with environmental compliance. Compiling findings and recommendations for corrective actions into summary report.
  • Provide support on environmental related issues, plans, and projects for implementation.
  • Identify environmental hazards and/or issues that may affect the public, personnel, environmental permits and/or licenses.
  • Assist in developing strategies and implementation plans for emerging environmental issues.
  • Provide environmental regulatory guidance to Sales and Field Service.
  • Work with TS Group in obtaining local and state authorization to operate a 10 Day Transfer Facility.
  • Conduct audit (site and/or desk) of alternate facilities/non-owned storage, treatment and disposal facilities (NODs) for use by Tradebe Facilities, Sales and TTR Direct. Work with EVP of Regulatory Affairs and Insurance Company for Approval or Denial of NODs.
  • Conduct annual evaluation of NODs by site visit or the submittal of an audit questionnaire.
  • Maintain updated list of NODs.
  • Maintain insurance coverage of NODs.
  • Collect data from Regional Environmental Compliance Managers, TS Group, and other Tradebe Departments to construct and complete annual Sustainability Report for submittal to Corporate.
  • Other duties as assigned by EVP of Regulatory Affairs and Sustainability.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or related field or equivalent experience in Environmental Science or similar area of study OR 5+ years of industry experience required
  • Must participate in an OSHA/HAZWOPER physical examination.
  • Must obtain a physician's certification to wear respirator.
  • 2+ years of industry experience required
  • Working knowledge of solid & hazardous waste management and air regulations is required.
