Job Overview/Summary
This position develops and assists in the implementation and coordination of policies, procedures and programs to protect and promote world class safety and health, environmental and security standards within Clorox Global Operations. Responsible for managerial leadership to enable compliance and sustainable processes at manufacturing sites and other Clorox locations world-wide. Provide Corporate GSE managerial leadership with development, training and technical process support that will enable environmental, safety and security deliverables and continuous improvement of Company's culture goals and objectives.
Key Responsibilities
People Management and Development - Provides strategic leadership and direction for corporate and site environmental safety and security roles and responsibilities. Identifies current gaps and develops long and short term plan to serve the team's development and future
Drive Continuous Improvement - Supports the continuous improvement of the environmental, safety and security function by identifying and resolving gaps/waste in systems, tools, and processes. Identified as the SME for key processes to ensure they are effectively managed, standardized, maintained and continuously improved. Drives commonality of programs and processes at all corporate and manufacturing locations, where applicable
Strategic Leadership - Provides strategic leadership and functional vision to help develop the environmental, safety and security culture of the organization. This role identifies key leverage points within organization to drive improvements. Establishes credibility and close working relationships with business partners globally.
Operations Support - Provides operational support and analytical problem solving at Clorox locations, drawing on internal and external experts as appropriate, managing improvement plans and activities. Ensure practices are in place and standardized in our field and corporate locations to assure that stable conditions exist that ensure standards are maintained in compliance with Federal regulations, documentation adherence and compliance.
Key Skills, Abilities and Experience Required
- 10+ years of experience in Safety and Health roles in industrial and corporate settings. (international experience is highly desired)
- 5+ years of leadership experience managing multiple employees across a diverse organization.
- ASP is highly desired.
- Extensive knowledge and skill in development, implementation and maintenance of environmental, safety and/or security programs/activities and procedures.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of the OSHA regulations as well as industry standards and best practices in safety and health required.
- Ability to interpret regulations and apply the content to operations.
- Ability to assess and communicate regulatory impacts on organization.
- Knowledge of regulatory documentation requirements.
- Knowledge and experience with industrial hygiene regulatory requirements and programs preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with electrical safety regulatory requirements and programs preferred.
- Interpersonal skills to create continuously improving environmental, safety and security culture, influence others and be a safety advocate throughout the organization.
- Strong problems solving skills, issue resolution and root cause analysis.
- Strong written and verbal business communication skills.
- Strong independent leadership skills. Will be required to travel independently to worldwide sites.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Proven strong relationship skills to achieve sustainable partnerships and collaboration internally and externally.
- Excellent organization, time management and project management skills.
- Highly Flexible and Adaptable. Able to work independently in a fast paced multitasking environment.
- Ability to travel 25% of the time or more.
- Bachelor's degree is highly desired
