Job Description

Janssen Pharmaceutical, a member of Johnson & Johnsons Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Senior Associate Scientist, Molecular Biology (Cell & Gene Therapy, Vaccines). The position will be located in Malvern, PA.

Key Responsibilities:

• Responsible for method development, qualification, validation and transfer of new and existing PCR analytical methods ((RT-PCR, QPCR, ddPCR, etc.).

• Author protocols and reports, as well as perform and coordinate testing to support analytical development, manufacturing process development, process validations, and manufacturing investigations across functional groups

• Contribute to analytical sections of regulatory submissions that support regulatory filings including INDs and BLAs

• Provide technical support to QC laboratories, assist in investigations and serve as a technical resource within the analytical team.

• Accurately capturing of data in a timely manner, including maintenance of detailed records in compliance with applicable cGMP, safety, and environmental requirements is expected.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, immunology or other relevant scientific field with at least 4 years of relevant experience, OR a Master's degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience.

• Experience developing PCR/qPCR methods is required.

• Experience executing molecular biology techniques such as: DNA isolation and quantitation, primer and probe design, qPCR, and ddPCR.

• Ability to troubleshoot experiments; analyze, report and present data.

• Ability to work collaboratively within and across teams in a complex, matrix environment is essential.

Preferred:

• Experience with CAR-T or other cell and gene therapy products.

• Experience working in a GMP environment.

• Knowledge of method robustness, DoE, method design and familiarity with assay validation parameters.
