This position is responsible for championing all aspects of Environment, Health and Safety for Dynapower Company LLC. This position is responsible for developing, planning, establishing, implementing, and maintaining all aspects of environmental, health and safety programs to assure the highest possible degree of safety for employees and Regulatory Compliance.

  • Ensure compliance to all federal, state, local laws, regulations, rules and codes including, but not limited to, EPA, OSHA, VOSHA, Cal/OSHA, NFPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RECRA), Community Right to Know Act, National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants, Title V Air permitting, stormwater permitting, and hazardous waste permitting.
  • Interface with appropriate agencies.
  • Understand the variances and nuances of regulatory compliance for both Vermont and California.
  • Manage recordkeeping and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the development of controls for identified hazards, coordinate the implementation of controls from result of hazard analysis. Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of the hazard control system, policies, and procedures and recommend changes that reflect improved opportunities to eliminate workplace accidents and injuries.
  • Coordinate the development and implementation of hazardous materials procedures and policies as applicable.
  • Plan, develop, and implement safety, ergonomic and environmental training for new ad existing employees.
  • Identify and evaluate hazardous condition and practices in the workplace.
  • Schedule and perform internal audits related to all aspects of EH&S, using ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 as the primary guides.
  • Provide advice and counseling for all compliance regulations process. Compile, analyze, interpret and report accidents. Review property and injury reports.
  • Monitor, revise and implement ongoing updates in safety regulations, laws, or reporting requirements.
  • Serve as Safety Champion, subject matter expert and resource.
  • Provide monthly reporting of Safety results - TRIR, DART, etc.
  • Serve as the leader in accountability of sustaining continuous improvement with Safety while leading multiple projects.
  • Provide technical support from EH&S perspective for all lean enterprise initiatives .

  • Bachelor's degree in a related science or sufficient experience
  • 3-5 years of experience leading safety, environmental and health management and compliance.
  • Possess working knowledge of EPA, OSHA, VOSHA, Cal/OSHA, NFPA, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RECRA), Community Right to Know Act, National Emission Standard for Hazardous Air Pollutants, Title V Air permitting, stormwater permitting, and hazardous waste permitting.
  • Possess high level of technical expertise, ability to apply skills to continuous improvement while maintaining maximum levels of safety.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills up and down the organization.
  • Results oriented with proven ability to organize, plan, prioritize and follow up.
  • Excellent people and process management skills.
  • Experience with ISO 14001 and 45001 or equivalent a plus

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. This position requires periodic evening and weekend work and the ability to travel domestically and international as needed.
