Responsibilities:
- Perform Wetland Delineations and Stream Assessments, ESRI ArcGIS Cartography analysis and Threatened and Endangered Species Assessments/agency coordination
- Provide scientific guidance/support by writing technical reports
- Coordinate the process to obtain Waterway permits (documentation and review)
- Build/maintain client relationships
- Support environmental restoration and project objectives by performing data collection, site investigation and evaluation of data collected
- Write proposals
- Perform ecological assessments and collect field data
- Manage workload and maintain deadlines
- Section 401 and 404 Waterway permitting
- Travel throughout Ohio and Pennsylvania to conduct fieldwork (may require overnight travel)
- Coordinate Rare, Threatened, and Endangered Species impacts and State/Federal permits for collection
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Ecology, Physical Science or other relevant technical degree
- 5+ years of environmental consulting experience
- Experience conducting/managing Wetland Delineations in Ohio and Pennsylvania
- Certificate of completion for accredited Wetland Delineation training
- Professional Wetland Scientist certification preferred
- Other ecological training a plus
- Thorough understanding of Ohio and Pennsylvania regulatory process
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Trimble GeoX-series GPS data collection and ESRI ArcGIS
- Experience with QHEI, HHEI, and ORAM
- Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
