JOB DESCRIPTION
Safety and Health Coordinator. Employee/Labor Health & Safety work encompasses activities related to the wellbeing of employees including: Developing and implementing policies and practices to identify/mitigate hazardous conditions within the workplace . Identifying potential workplace hazards, unsafe equipment, work practices, and working conditions Investigating accidents and liaising with engineers, management, and health and safety regulatory authorities to identify causes of accidents and prevent their recurrence .Providing advice and training on safety protocols and conducting audits to ensure compliance with organization and government standards related to employee heath and safety .Maintaining and analyzing records of workplace injuries, illness, and absences to identify areas of concern and provide information required by regulatory agencies

RESPONSIBILITIES
Works on problems of moderate scope and assists with projects or processes while receiving general instructions from higher level professionals
Applies research towards the planning, design development, testing, and completion of projects
Impact is short-term, occasionally on medium-term goals
Continues building knowledge of organization and processes
May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies, and practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
· Typically requires a BS in Biology/Chemistry/Industrial Hygiene or related field or equivalent and 2+ years full-time industrial hygiene experience; OR
MS in Industrial Hygiene/Public Health or related field and minimal industrial hygiene experience. CAIH or CIH preferred
OR
· BS Safety Management or related field or equivalent and 2+ years full-time safety and health experience; OR
MS Safety Management or related field and minimal safety and health experience. ASP preferred
