Title: Principal Associate Scientist/ScientistRNA Molecular Biology

Location: Waltham, MA

Reports to: Scientist Molecular/Viral Vector Biology

The Role:

ElevateBio is looking for a talented molecular biologist, biochemist or structural biologist experienced with either mRNA, lncRNAs, and/or ribozymes. The ideal candidate is a curious, creative problem solver with strong attention to detail and a passion for RNA biotechnology. This person will help drive the development of novel RNA based approaches for cell and gene therapy here at Elevate as a key member of our growing RNA team.

Here's What You'll Do:

• Contribute to or lead the design, screening, and optimization of RNAs of interest
• Utilize knowledge of RNA metabolism, structure, or nucleic acid chemistry to engineer useful properties into RNAs of interest
• Support and/or lead development of bioanalytical and purification methods useful to characterize RNAs of interest
• Work collaboratively to support troubleshooting efforts and maintain project deadlines
• Ensure compliance with electronic lab notebook (eLN) entries and other record keeping

Requirements:

• PhD with up to 3 years of industry experience or BS/MS with a minimum of 6 years of experience

• Practical lab technique and subject area expertise with RNA: especially mRNA, lncRNA or ribozymes
• Familiarity with Geneious software a plus
• Experience with or a desire to work with FPLC or HPLC is a plus.
• Outstanding communication skills (verbal and written)
• Ability to multi-task and coordinate work on several simultaneous projects
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a dynamic, cross-functional matrix environment
