Job Description Summary
A full-time position for a Research Specialist A is available in the Department of Microbiology in the laboratory of Dr. Michela Locci. The research goal of the laboratory is to elucidate the immunobiology of T follicular helper (Tfh) cells and antibody responses in health and disease. More information can be found on our laboratory website: https://www.loccilab.com. The Research Specialist will perform basic immunology experiments using in vivo mouse models, cell cultures and analysis of samples by flow cytometry and histology. Additionally, the work will include general laboratory maintenance duties and management of our mouse colony. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, able to work efficiently, carefully record and organize experiments, sustain independent projects as well as work as a member of a team. Candidates should have a B.S. in immunology or related fields and laboratory experience in small animal model biology. Experience with flow cytometry and confocal microscopy is a plus.
