*Job Description:*
The *Safety/Environmental and Regulatory Compliance Specialist* will implement and administer EHS processes to ensure safety and environmental compliance with federal, state and local regulations as well as corporate policies and procedures. This person is responsible for Hazardous Material Business Plans, Hazardous Material Information System and other key regulatory programs. Additionally, will provide support and guidance to various departments and teams regarding safety and environmental compliance.
*Essential Job Functions*

* Develop and maintain Hazardous Material Business Plans (HMBP), Hazardous Material. Information Sheets (HMIS), compliance assessments, and any other related materials required by first responders and/or environmental agencies.
* Maintain regulatory calendar to ensure all required environmental reports and filings are submitted in a timely manner.
* Complete monthly detailed reports summarizing metrics and activities.
* Assist Real Estate, Store Design, Merchandising, Sales, Stores, and DCs with environmental needs.
* Increase field awareness of safety/environmental issues by providing detailed direction and guidance through internal publications.
* Monitor the company-wide hazardous waste process and implement process improvement plans.
*Skills and Qualifications*

* Working knowledge of federal environmental (EPA), health and safety (OSHA), and hazardous material transportation (DOT) and corresponding State regulations.
* Experience working with regulatory authorities (return to compliance submittals, etc.).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong knowledge of Windows Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
* Ability to work with diverse groups and tight deadlines.
* Basic knowledge of Store/DC Operations.
