This position involves work in a molecular biology/cancer/immunology laboratory and requires both molecular and cellular biology skills. The successful candidate will work with a senior Research Scientist, Predoctoral fellows, and the Lab Principal Investigator on determining factors that control immune responses to oral, lung, and brain cancers and involves working with recombinant DNA, in vitro cell assays, and mice.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Maintaining cancer cells in vitro, transfering cancer cells to mice, treating mice, measuring tumor growth
  • Performing flow cytometry with cells from mice or cultures
  • Animal husbandry/dosing/dissection (mouse)
  • Performing qPCR, nanostring, or gene reporter assays to measure AHR gene activity in cancer-bearing mice or cells in culture
  • Lentivirus plasmid preparation
  • Lab Maintenance (stocking buffers, ordering supplies, maintaining N2 tank)


Requirements:

Bachelor's degree required

1-3 years experience required
