Front Range Energy EH&S Manager Position‐ Windsor, CO
JOB SUMMARY
The EH&S Manager is the leader of environmental, health, and safety programs at the Front Range
Energy bioprocessing facility. The EH&S Manager is responsible for maintaining all records and
training documentation for all environmental health and safety programs as well as scheduling and
coordinating safety training sessions for all team members. The EH&S Manager Implements, and
administers government required safety, health and environmental programs to ensure facility safety
and environmental compliance. The EH&S Manager is responsible for all reporting to ensure complete
compliance with all regulations and facility permits.
EH&S Manager's Core Responsibilities• Maintaining and implementing our safety policies and programs
• Environmental programs (facility response plan, etc.)
• Air permit management/LDAR
• Water rights/well water management
• Storm water permit management
• Waste disposal management
• GHG tracking/reporting
• PEMS management - Predictive Emissions Monitoring System - Boiler
• Wastewater management
• In‐house auditing of all completed safety & environmental records for accuracy
• Generate, review & submit daily, weekly, monthly, and annual safety and environmental
reports. Coordinate and take samples as needed
• Lead safety training sessions for a variety of people including new and existing team
members and contractors
• Remain up to date on new safety‐related regulations, safety equipment and personal
protective equipment (PPE)
• Ensure written safety programs are reviewed and kept current. Communicate changes to
team members
• Serve as the local expert resource for environmental compliance issues, including a
thorough understanding of the facility's environmental permits, hazardous waste management,
stormwater, RMP, SPCC, and other applicable state and federal regulatory requirements
• Workers' Compensation administration
• Ensure complete compliance with all regulations and facility permits
Physical Requirements
✓ Must be able to work in cold to hot temperatures; work around dust, fumes, and/or
moderate to loud noises; works inside and/or outside.
✓ Able to lift, pull, carry, and pick‐up average to heavy objects weighing up to 50
pounds.
✓ Able to climb stairs and ladders; walk on paved and unpaved surfaces; sit at a desk
and operate a computer and keyboard; visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to
hear, speak, and understand speech at normal room levels and on the telephone; manual dexterity to
operate a telephone; lift horizontally and vertically, bend, stoop, stand, twist, and reach.
✓ Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require
following basic safety precautions.
Qualifications
‐Complete knowledge and understanding of Colorado State and Federal health, safety and
environmental regulations.
‐ Associates or Bachelor's degree in a safety, environmental science, or engineering field and 5+
years of experience in EH&S position in an industrial facility
‐Must have effective presentation and communication skills for delivery of training programs and
reports to facility team members, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
