Job Description:Reporting to the Plant EHS Manager, the EHS Specialist has responsibility to drive continuous and significant improvements in environmental, health, and safety. To be a contributor in a growing and profitable organization focused on performing at world-class levels and creating superior value.

Primary Duties:
In close cooperation with the location's leadership team, this position will be accountable for assisting in the drive for environmental, health and safety efforts across the locations. Significant interface will be required with local management and employees.
Assist in developing and sustaining programs and processes that builds an EHS culture that will result in the reduction of work related injuries and environmental incidents.
Assist in maintaining compliance with governmental regulatory agencies.
Day-To-Day Responsibilities:
Partner with location leadership to deliver EHS objectives and ensure an on-the-floor presence to lead and facilitate employee engagement.
Assist in the development and implementation of Health and Safety programs and activities to achieve, maintain and exceed compliance with relevant regulatory laws and regulations as well as comply with AMI, Inc. Policies, standards and procedures.
Participate in investigation teams, as required, to assure prompt, thorough incident review; make appropriate corrective action recommendations and entry into Velocity EHS.
Develop and/or conduct H & S training programs.
Complete and /or assist in facility EHS Administration Tasks including: Monthly and weekly EHS Scorecards, Velocity EHS Safety Software Management System, Monthly and Specialty EHS Training Matrix and Internal Plant Inspection and Audit Records.
Ensures site compliance with all Local, State and Federal EHS regulations.
Participate in internal EHS audits.
Provide First-aid care and assistance in emergency preparedness & response.
Maintain Chemical inventory and SDS Online maintenance utilizing Velocity EHS.
Facilitate Safety Champion team activities
Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications Required:
Knowledge of applicable Federal and State related regulations.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Technical expertise in manufacturing safety.
Ability to plan, prioritize and work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to perform duties with minimal oversight
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Flexible schedule
Qualifications - Education and Experience Required:

Bachelor's degree in environmental, health or safety related discipline from an accredited institution.
Minimum 1 - 5 years of environmental, health or safety experience in an Industrial manufacturing environment.
Demonstrated professional with passion for change and relentless focus on execution.
Critical skills include: Execution, attention to detail, initiative, conflict resolution, customer focus, collaboration, building ownership and commitment, establishing direction, drive for change, getting organizational support and tenacity.
