Job Details

The Department of Biology at Columbus State University (CSU) invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor in Terrestrial Vertebrate Biology to begin January 2020.

The Department of Biology offers a collegial atmosphere, a thriving study abroad program, and teaching and lab space equipped for hands-on experiential learning. The Biology track in the Master of Natural Sciences program provides opportunities for pursuing research involving graduate students. A university-owned nature preserve and community-oriented environmental learning center provide further sites for creative research. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: teaching courses in Mammalogy, Herpetology, Anatomy and Physiology, and Phylogenomics, as well as support core curriculum; managing the vertebrate teaching and research collections; and work collegially and effectively with university students, faculty, staff, and the surrounding community, as well as, be supportive and inclusive of people from diverse backgrounds.
