Job Details

Natural Heritage New Mexico (NHNM) is seeking a Data Manager to continue building the New Mexico Conservation Information System, a database and web portal for applied conservation biology. NHNM is a program within the Museum of Southwestern Biology and Department of Biology of the University of New Mexico. We are a team of a conservation scientists devoted to providing the best information to aid land managers, policy makers, researchers, and the pubic in conserving species diversity in the fourth most biodiverse state.

The Data Manager will design and maintain databases focused on biological and environmental data; work with NHNM partners to expand its Conservation Information System through agreements and contracts; oversee NHNM's IT infrastructure; oversee development of web-based data-delivery, and manage/train staff and students.
