The Department of Biology invites applications for an Assistant Professor in Environmental Science/Biology. We are seeking a broadly trained individual to teach and develop a variety of undergraduate courses, depending on the candidate's background and qualifications, in areas such as animal husbandry, nutrition, breeding, sustainable livestock management, aquaculture, community food systems, introductory biology or related topics, beginning Fall 2019 (9-month appointment).
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Agriculture, Animal Science, or a closely related discipline. The successful candidate is expected to be active in publication and presentation of scholarly research in sustainable agriculture and mentor undergraduate research.
Preferred candidates will have experience working and communicating with diverse agricultural industries and contribute to further development of our new Environmental Science Scientific Agriculture track or emphasis. Candidates will also be expected to engage in university and departmental service
