Data engagement assistant: Cooperative Invasive Species/Weed Management Area (CISMA/CWMA) map maintenance project
The Stewardship Network provides support to many Cooperative Weed Management Areas throughout the US. We are looking to update our CISMA/CWMA partner locations map. This position is open to individuals committed to outreach and accurate data representation. Requirements include the organized collection of confirmed geospatial location information from over 100 groups throughout the Great Lakes region. Make contact with CISMA/CWMA liaisons via email and/or phone, and translate information onto a GIS grid. Persistence, positive attitude, and professionalism is a must; proficiency in GIS is preferred.
Position features a flexible schedule, and for the right candidate, can be completely remote. Self motivation and commitment to projects from start to finish required. Must be willing to contribute to the projects Monday through Friday, 4 and 8 hours a week available for team meetings and project coordination.
