Apply now for an internship with the Houston Zoo Collegiate Conservation Program sponsored by ExxonMobil. Ten interns will be selected to train, learn, and work for 10 weeks at the Houston Zoo, and at regional conservation partner locations, from May 15, 2017 – July 21, 2017. Interns will receive a stipend at the conclusion of the internship to offset living expenses during the experience. The stipends are sponsored by a generous donation from ExxonMobil.

The Houston Zoo Collegiate Conservation Program internship will focus on two important aspects of conservation – saving animals in the wild and sharing the message.
Saving Animals in the Wild
Building a retention wall
Repairing foot paths
Tagging birds
Removing predator pens

Sharing the Message
Storytelling
On grounds interpretation
Education program development

Throughout the 10 week internship, participants will discover how these two are tied together.
