The Department of Biology at Texas State University (www.bio.txstate.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Human Dimensions of Wildlife Biology. The successful candidate will be expected to teach both graduate and undergraduate courses related to wildlife and natural resource management, focusing on human dimensions and conservation aspects, and develop an externally funded research program involving graduate students that complements existing strengths of our 50-member faculty.

Required qualifications are an earned Ph.D. in wildlife ecology, biology, environmental education, or related areas, and a record of peer-reviewed publications in human dimensions of natural resources. Preferred qualifications include postdoctoral (or equivalent) experience, demonstration of research experience and a record of externally funded research in human dimensions such as wildlife/conservation outreach, stakeholder engagement and application of theoretical and empirical findings to real-world, contemporary problems.
