The Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies invites applications for an assistant, associate, or senior-level scientist. We are looking for an emerging or established leader in the ecological sciences. The field of specialization is open; we seek a creative and synthetic thinker who augments, complements, or integrates research strengths at the Cary Institute (e.g., in aquatic ecology, biogeochemistry, disease ecology, terrestrial ecology, urban ecology). The successful candidate will pursue a vigorous, externally-funded research program.
The Cary Institute is a vibrant and collaborative research institute where scientists make significant contributions to professional and public service. Cary scientists have no formal teaching requirements. Ample opportunities exist for mentoring postdoctoral fellows, and for advising graduate students in association with various universities.
